The Gamble Lab
at Marquette University

Research in the Gamble lab examines the evolutionary processes that generate and maintain biological diversity. In particular we focus on two complementary topics: 1) comparative genomics and the evolution of sex chromosomes; and 2) the spatial and historical aspects of species diversification β phylogenetics and biogeography. Studying these subjects in a single model clade (lizards) presents an unparalleled opportunity to explore the complex origins of biological diversity.
